This is one of many websites devoted to Dennis Brutus, his memory, his traditions of left politics and humanism, his literary life, his sports and race struggles, his global justice movement contributions and his loving support for anyone oppressed, in any way, anywhere. We were fortunate at UKZN to host Dennis at the Centre for Civil Society as an honorary professor, from the time he turned 80. Those were five fantastic years, and many photos, poems, stories and videos on this site capture his energy and wisdom.We miss him enormously, and anticipate that this site - and many others - will help you understand why he became a role model for us all.
